Two jobs....
Two jobs is something I'm still getting used to. The weekly paycheck is nice, but I miss my kiddos. It's funny how working in a bookstore leads to less reading, but it does when it's your second job :)

PT Job of my dreams
My bookstore job is only part time, but in walking distance from my FT job! Sadly, it's not at my home away from home tiny, indie (only one store) bookstore where I've been a fixture for years, but they understand and love me anyway. (They never need anyone, no one ever quits there!) The one I'm working in is family owned, so I'm happy with that. There are 30 stores through out the midwest I believe, and I am thrilled to work there. Everyone welcomed me like I've been there for years. I can also order my own favorites books to be in stock in the store! SQUEEEE!
The money will all go into my Forks fun since I've spent it all......
Tomorrow night is the first time I close and I'm a little nervous, here's hoping I don't screw up!

Bookstore
I finally have my dream job! I work in a local indie bookstore! It's my second job, but it's not like working at all. Someone is actually willing to pay me to talk about books all day? Who knew??

Spring
I love the warm weather we're having, but it really cuts back on my reading time. I need to get back on track. My TBR pile is about to take over my room!

Magic Under Glass Review
Magic Under Glass by Jaclyn Dolamore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is an amazing book! It's timeless, historical, romantic, mysterious and heart breaking at times!
Nimira is a strong woman, who leaves home after her mom dies and father falls apart. They were once a wealthy and succesful family. She left home with hopes of finding her own success as a performer only to end up as a "trouser girl" (dancing for pennies in front of drunk men.)
When she is offered a job to sing with an automaton (mechanical man) by a wealthy guest, Mr. Hollin, she escapes with the hopes of a new life and finding that success she originally left home for. When she moves to Hollins beautiful estate, she learns that the automaton is rumored to be haunted and that other singers hired before her were sent away or ran away in fear! Once she starts singing with the automaton, she notices that he seems to look right at her, and seems to make noises that sound like talking at times! In time, she realizes he IS trying to communicate! She fights her fears, and they learn to speak through the keys of the piano! His name is Erris, and he is a fairy prince and heir to the thrown in the fairy kindgom! Nimira and Erris fall in love, and she fights to save him from the curse that put him in the automaton!
Mr. Hollin as has a life of secrets, pain, magic and even blackmail surrounding him. He seems to fall in love with Nimira, but really aches for someone to fill the void that his wife once filled.
This was such a short book, I was sad when it ended. It ends in somewhat of a cliff hanger, so I'm hoping there will be a sequel!
I enjoyed the world of magic, faeries and mystery that Jaclyn created, and can't wait to see what's next!

When it rains....
Seriously why can't ONE bad thing happen at a time? Must they always come in a LANDSLIDE??? I am pretty sure the full moon last week caused it.
I don't even have the energy to type it all, but if it could go wrong it has. I need wine!

Spring Clean Up
I love my small town. I've never lived anywhere else where you can put all your "crap" on the curb once a year and someone get's paid to pick it up. It is a bit weird when you wake up at 3 am and find people rooting through it, but that's all part of the game. Good bye old bed, doll house, broken tv's, ugly furniture and piles of forgotten kid toys!
One thing I never throw away is books. I have a bit of a hoarding problem when it comes to me books. Oh well, we all have our thing!

This is not a book blog.....
I thought I might make this into a book blog, but honestly you need time and creativity to do that. I love book blogs, live for them, but am not capable of maintaining one.
I do however write reviews for one: http://www.latebloomeronline.com/
Jen and Espe own and run it, I just read stuff.
Check it out!

Review and Giveaway
Since it is no secret that we absolutely LOVED The Cinderella Society by Kay Cassidy we are going to do our review a little differently this time around. We want to tell you the 5 things that Kay Cassidy taught us with The Cinderella Society…
1.Everyone – and we do mean everyone- has a signature style. It may be trendy, preppy, sporty, conservative, or a mix such as sexy meets sporty, or comfy with a side of trendy, (mine is pink, and classy yet trendy)… but regardless everyone has one. Know what yours is, own it and love it! It is part of what makes you, YOU!
2.Every girl loves makeovers! It doesn't matter if the makeover is for someone else or yourself, makeovers are fun! It could be a new lipgloss, learning to make a smoky eye with fun new eyeshadows, or just buying a new nail polish for your toes,! Products, new clothes and a gorgeous hair cut, make a girl happy! DON'T be afraid to try something new or to show others your true style!
3.Secret societies are COOL! If you don’t want to form a Cindy Society of your own after reading The Cinderella Society, then perhaps someone put the TCS cover on a different book and you read the wrong one, because girl power is AWESOME! One girl can make a difference for sure, but a society of girls all aimed at making a difference??? LOOK OUT WORLD!!!!!!!
4.Wicked Chatter is NEVER okay! What is wicked chatter you ask? It is when you talk or think negatively of yourself, or are mean to others. We were reminded in The Cinderella Society how toxic Wicked Chatter can be! It is hurtful not only to other people, but to ones own self. It is important to love yourself, and to remember to treat others how you want to be treated! Is it always easy??? HECK NO! But doing the right thing, and setting an example to those around you is MUCH MORE POWERFUL than anything a Wicked person could ever say or do!
5.Romance makes us happy!!! In the book, Jess Parker has a crush on Ryan Steele, the super hot boy that has now made the list of fictional characters we have a crush on! Kay doesn’t take Jess and Ryan down the easy high school love shmoozy-woozy path, rather their relationship is more realistic. Love is easy, but great relationships… well they take time, work, effort, and understanding in order to work. Just like anything else, when it comes to love, being true to yourself is important! When you are dating or in a relationship it is easy to become what the other person wants you to be, but remember... the person you’re with, should want to be with YOU for YOU! YOU ARE AMAZING!
So there you have it! I hope that you love The Cinderella Society as much as we do! We couldn't be more excited about the release this week and to celebrate we are giving away a SIGNED ARC of The Cinderella Society, along with an HONORARY CINDY bracelet we had made, just for the occassion! Please see the rules for entering below!

Twilight in Forks
I cannot express how much I LOVE the Twilight in Forks movie. It made me cry! I can honestly say I went to Forks because of Twilight, but I'm going back because of Forks. I really believe I will move there eventually. Once my kids are grown and out on their own maybe. The place haunts me, the mountains and the smell of the ocean followed me home in my dreams. I can't wait to go back!

I love Fridays and insomnia
Heaven to me: sitting on the couch, favorite blanket, my 5 cats and a good book. Linger is AMAZING! Maggie is an artist and her creativity comes out when she writes.
Plus it's Friday so my old friend insomnia won't matter tonight! I have and ongoing arguement with my mother about insomnia only being in my head. Spoken like a true non-insomniac! I believe if nothing else that some of us are just hard wired to be nocturnal, The End. No one wants to spend days without sleep, I promise.

Here goes nothing....
I'm the only human I know without a blog, so here's mine. If you're looking at this, first of all I'm shocked, and second hi. Thanks for stopping by. I read a lot so this will probably turn into a personal book blog once I figure this thing out!
